ABOUT ME
I am a former Student-Athlete at the University of Arizona with a passion for basketball and art and the way that the two can complement either other. When I’m not designing on my laptop, I enjoy working with 3D media like metal and wood to make sculptures. I’ll go back to traditional forms like drawing and painting, and I also enjoy taking pictures. My passion for wheelchair basketball drives a lot of what I do as an artist. Much of my motivation, confidence, and teamwork skills come from basketball. I appreciate the ways in which art and sports can influence each other.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
2019 - 2024
Bachelor of Fine Arts - Studio Art With an Emphasis in Illustration and Design
The University of Arizona
Throughout my time in the art school I was exposed to many different mediums. Even though my emphasis is mainly design, I got to work with traditional 2D and 3D practices like drawing, painting, and sculpting. I learned a lot and gained multiple skills working with Adobe Creative Suite and Procreate through a digital platform doing brand design, logos, merch design, graphics, book covers, animations, and more. When I wasn’t on my laptop, I got to work with my hands and create sculptures out of materials like metal, wood, foam, and wax. I learned many things in the art school that I wasn’t expecting I’d get to do, so I am very grateful for that opportunity.

Student Worker for The Disability Resource Center
The University of Arizona
In this position, I worked as a student worker in our Adaptive Athletics Program. I was helping manage the social media pages by making necessary graphics and posts for each of our teams. I also helped create physical flyers, pamphlets, and posters that were needed for promotional and functional purposes.

I committed to the U of A to play wheelchair basketball for the women’s team in 2019. I was a team captain for 3 out of the 4 years that I played in person. Throughout my college career, I have received a few awards including Academic All American Team ‘20-’24, All American 2nd Team ‘22, and The Frank M. Brasile Sportsmanship Award ‘22. I was also selected to compete on the USA Women’s U25 team for the IWBF Women’s U25 Championship in Thailand in 2023—our team took home the gold!
